In the lead up to the July 21st Youth Climate March in DC and nationwide, young activists from several organizations will participate in Sunday's Webinar, speaking out on concerns for their future in a world that is fast becoming increasingly dangerous from urgent climate change and gun violence.

Our young people are taking the lead in raising awareness and working for lasting change.

This Webinar, sponsored by Interfaith Moral Action on Climate, will give you the opportunity to hear from several of these courageous young people.

SPEAKERS:

Valentina Ossa, is an 11-year old 5th grader who has been participating in "We Your Children" where students, in the presence of teachers and parents, talk freely about their concerns. Her Mother, Bethany Yarrow, has been an activist for many years, as has her Father, Peter Yarrow, of Peter, Paul and Mary.

Zanagee Artis is a founding member of "Zero Hour" which is organizing the Youth Climate Lobby Day in DC on July 19th, and the Youth Climate March on July 21st in DC and nationwide.
He is a High School student from Connecticut who will attend Brown University in the fall with plans to study political science. From making his family recycle to founding his school's first "Sustainability Committee," Zanagee has cared about fighting pollution and climate change for years.

Kiran Oommen, with"Our Children's Trust," is a community organizer, gardener and musician, currently studying sociology at Seattle University. Aside from his work as a plaintiff in the Juliana vs. US lawsuit, he is on the Board of Directors for the Civil Liberties Defense Center, organizes radical community events and concerts in Seattle, and associates with a variety of direct action collectives in the Pacific Northwest.
