People’s Climate Covenant
Launched September 10, 2015 as what should be the U.S. position at the UN Climate Summit in Paris this December, the People’s Climate Covenant reflects the science on the level of emissions cuts necessary to maintain a stable climate and also the moral principles for global justice and preservation of Creation.
This declaration, signed by more than 125 religious, labor, and environmentally-concerned organizations and individuals will now become a nation-wide campaign calling on the President and Climate Envoy, Todd Stern, to take bold, ambitious steps to avert climate catastrophe.
